A little bit about me:
I'm Franki Bagdade, a master's level educator and a clinical social worker. I'm so proud to offer so many services through my two businesses! ANDDD I'm thrilled to be able to share free resources through my social media channels and this newsletter!
When I'm not working you can find me cuddling my dog, playing trivia with my husband and three kids, or laughing over good food with my friends. I live in Metro Detroit and also grew up here!
I love to travel throughout North America for business and pleasure and across the world! Before we had children my husband and I took at least 2 international trips a year. I don’t get to travel nearly as much these days, but we are taking our teens and tween on their first Europe trips this spring. My husband and I have visited, Thailand, Cambodia, England, France, Greece, Sicily, Monaco, Italy, Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, The Bahamas, and Canada. I have traveled to England and Scotland for work!
My mission through FAAB Consulting and Franki Bagdade Therapy is to ensure that education, parent support, mental health services, coaching, camp, and recreation programs are accessible for those who are neurodivergent.
Check out all of my services across both businesses here.
So how did I get here?
"I grew up as a quiet kid diagnosed with inattentive ADHD at 8 years old (I swear I was shy then I'll have my Mom write me a note.) I assumed I was lazy and made careless errors like everyone around me told me daily and therefore I must not be very smart or capable. When I left my rigorous dual curriculum and dual language private school for public high school, I realized maybe I DID have some potential. The more I was able to take classes that matched my interests and my skills, the more I realized I could achieve when challenged appropriately. It was there I found the theater department, permission to be weird, true friends, and passion."
Why did I choose the entrepreneur, small biz owner life?
As part of my professional journey, I somehow ended up on the director team of one of the largest overnight camps in North America! It was awesome and exhausting and exhilarating and exhausting all over again!
My time at camp, in the classroom, and as a consultant all come together here on the blog and in the FAAB Shop. I’ve taken three of my most popular workshops and recorded On Demand Webinars for busy parents. I’ve also harnessed that ADHD creative energy and have a line of Mom Merch and Mental Health Awareness Swag. As a thank you to you for supporting my small businesses and ME, I am offering you 20% off your entire order.
